GIANTS v. BULLS
A really intriguing game for me this one. I really don't know how either side will do this season. Can the Giants match, or even improve on last season? I have my doubts. Good team, good coach, but I have a feeling they will struggle to make top 5 this season. The Bulls have signed some good players but still have a few to many average players for me, and once the first 17 have gone there is not a lot left. So to friday and there is only one sure thing, Stevo creaming himself over Orford no matter how well, or poorly, he plays. As to who will win it's the toss of a coin for me.

RHINOS v. TIGERS
The Champions entertain our nearest and dearest on friday. The pitch, according to the groundsman, is shocking. If we have rain this week it could be a real leveller. If it stays dry then you would expect a Leeds win. Peacock will be back for leeds and I would expect Burgess to play too. Cas have, for me, not improved on last years squad. They have stood still at best. Cas have some good players but like the Bulls too many average ones to make any finals. I would expect the Leeds pack to dominate and I can see Buderus having a field day. Oh, and expect Leeds to target Apu again.

WARRIORS v. CRUSADERS

The faux Welshies were impressive last week but they put so much into the game I expect them to suffer this week, and I can see them getting a bit of a tonking. Wigan will certainly be fitter than last season and I wonder if there will be more flair than under Noble. Don't suppose there could be less really.

SAINTS v. FC
A game that could be a real cracker, glad this one is on SKY. Hull have recruited well. Fitzgibbon and O'Mealy are good solid pro's and Long will be a good link to the backs, far better than the vastly over rated Horne.
Saints will be interesting to watch. Will Pryce and Eastmond combine or are they too individual? Can Wellans possibly get any slower? Will Fozzard prove to be a good signing or will he bomb? So many questions to be answered.

KR v. REDS
I really don't think the Reds have much improvement in them. An average coach, loads of average players = an average team. Expect them to miss out on the play-offs and I think McRae could well be the first coach shown the door this season. I also expect Rovers to be the same as last year. Hard to beat, especially at home, but eventually not enough class to be Champions but I wouldn't rule out a Challange Cup Final place.

WILDCATS v. DRAGONS
Another decent game in prospect. Wildcats had a good win at Quins last week and will be on a high from that. The Dragons have made the best signing of the off season for me in Dallas Johnson, a really under rated player. Not sure if either side will match what they did last season, and I would be pretty shocked if either side did to be honest.

WOLVES v. QUINS
The 'Quins have so many average/not good enough players they will really struggle this season. The Wolves have big expectations this season and they will be among the favourites to challange the Rhinos. Time will tell if they will or if they revert to type. What is certain is they will get off to a winning start.
