After easing his way into his brand new SouthStander.com column over the first couple of weeks, in his usual 'out of the box' way this week Damo spotlights floodlights.
Once again this one is right out of the left-field, an interesting and revealing glimpse into the mind of the one and only DAMO!

Well that was different. Perhaps next week Southstander should post an article on energy efficiency, the dangers posed to hedgehogs crossing the road or possibly transcendental meditation? Its not that what Damo is saying isn't interesting its just not, if you would excuse the pun, enlightening. I think even Leeds City Council is aware of light pollution, hence the replacement of street lights with those little white lights that light the street and not the sky, and I think lighting has been the subject or at least mentioned on no end of wildlife and BBC4 programmes. It's not that I am anti-hippy or anything but, come on, if you are going to veer away from the rugby, make it a little bit more ground breaking! I'm worried enough that I am the only one bothering to make any comments at the moment without you shooting yourselves in the foot!
